Biodiversity Credits | Clear, scalable and scientific framework to measure terrestrial biodiversity

Summary
3Bee applies technology to MEASURE and REGENERATE ecosystem biodiversity, using bees as sentinels. We collect data through 3 assets:
-) HIVE-TECH – IoT sensor integrated in honey beehives to measure the health of a colony.
-) SPECTRUM – sensor for wildlife monitoring. Thanks to noises sampled and analysed throughout the year, we monitor pollinators, avifauna and insects in real time.
-) FLORA - Satellite data collection with the support of European Space Agency for agronomic analysis (flora density, flowering intensity).
Then, we quantify a Biodiversity Index through a scientific methodology and select biodiversity regeneration projects proposed by the 4.000 beekeepers and growers of our network.
Biodiversity enhancement is measured through data on nectar potential, honey production, insects’ diversity and frequency, and our pollination abundance index. This enhancement is certified by means of a disciplinary protocol that follows ISO standards (Element-E protocol) and Biodiversity Credits are generated for establishing the benefits associated with regenerative techniques. Thanks to our technology and AI algorithms, our methodology is scalable: we can exploit data of an area where our in-the-field sensors are installed to assess biodiversity in a much larger territory.
Our first customers are large corporations. They have 4 WHY TO BUY:
-) ESG reporting improvement.
-) Improve transparency of the value chain.
-) Improved brand positioning.
-) Improved E-NPS (Employee Net Promoter Score).
By promoting biodiversity offset projects and generating certified Biodiversity Credits thanks to 3Bee, all these needs will be met.
