DACTREOC | Disruptive Attitude Control Technology foR Earth Observation Competitiveness

Summary
VEOWARE S.P.R.L is a Belgian SME company, focused on the Space Sector, currently designing and developing Attitude Control Technologies. The technologies being developed are expected to disrupt the market by enhancing the future capabilities of Earth Observation (EO) satellites in combination with reducing the cost of EO imagery. In brief detail the technology being developed allows an EO satellite to rotate faster around it axes quickly enabling up to 10 times more imagery of the planet to be collected compared to traditional solutions.
The technology referred to as a Control Moment Gyroscope (CMG) currently only exists for large and costly satellites weighing from 1 ton to 3 tons. The current goal of VEOWARE is to develop this technology for satellites of a smaller class between 50-500 kg for which there is no similar technology on the market.
The goal of this proposed SME Phase-1 activity is to:
1. Develop the business plan with the complete Customer-Supplier chain
2. Identify and review the risks to be mitigated within the technology Supply Chain
3. Work with the Belgian and European Governments/Agencies to understand further the regulatory background of the technology
