Summary
The aim of the 28 case study reports (two case studies per country) is: a) to provide analysis on research capability and quality concerning ROs. The case studies elaborate each domain of ROs concerning the quality of the data and knowledge; the main knowledge gaps concerning national research; national research capability; position of research and data collection units; potential for international co-operation. b) provide descriptions on critical junctures of media development in the 21st century (14). Each country team will develop a country case study on critical junctures in the transformation processes in four domains of ROs. National case studies include background chapter concerning social and political changes if these changes produce ROs, and a special sub-chapter on the agency of different actors in propelling certain ROs. These case studies will use previous research results as well as conduct expert interviews with key actors in media industry, politicians, experts on statistics etc.
