Social effects of (interacting) disruptive events

This deliverable refers to task 1.5. The document summarizes the results of an analysis on social effects that occur due to disruptions of the transport network. The analysis is based on investigating historic events to reveal how the network has reacted to past disruptions and to showcase how resilience has been demonstrated. The analysis particularly focuses on the intersectionality of disruptive events to shed light on the social impacts resulting form the interplay of multiple large-scale disruptive events. Understanding the social impact will improve policies and decision making when it comes to developing approaches to enhance societal resilience, raising consumer awareness of transport, supply chains, and their role in them.
