Operational fine scale soil moisture maps - V1

This deliverable is a first version of operational fine scale soil moisture maps and relates to Task 6.4 - Calibrated fine scale soil moisture maps. In support of agricultural advice and insurance, fine scale soil moisture maps will be needed that can be used at or near field scale, down to one hectare. An existing method based on ESA Sentinel-1&2, such as developed in Italy by CNR, will be used and calibrated with the operational BLOSMs. Special attention will be paid to computational scalability (Kubernetes/Dockers). The fine scale soil moisture maps will provide much more spatial detail than satellite-based rainfall maps (1ha vs 1000 ha), which is very relevant for smallholder farms.
